SMC - L with Housebound or Aid and Attendance:

- The rate for one dependent of a veteran is $3,754.18.
SMC - R1:
- For a veteran without dependents, the basic monthly rate is $8,931.79.
- This rate is $9,698.97 for a veteran with one dependent.
SMC - R1 with Housebound or Aid and Attendance:
- For a veteran without dependents, the rate is $10,146.38.
- For a single veteran with a dependent, the rate is $10,899.88.
SMC - R2:
- A veteran without dependents is eligible for a monthly rate of $10,146.38.
- For a single veteran with a dependent, the rate is $10,899.88.
SMC - R2 with Housebound or Aid and Attendance:
- For a veteran without dependents, the rate is $11,432.84.
- For a veteran with one dependent, the rate is $12,217.24.

Eligibility for Special Monthly Compensation (SMC):
Veterans must complete VA requirements to receive the SMC. Eligibility criteria may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Loss or loss of use of a limb or sensory organ.
